What is CUET UG and why does it matter?

CUET UG is conducted by NTA for undergraduate admissions to all 45 central universities including Delhi University, BHU, JNU, and Jamia. It has replaced Class 12 board percentage as the primary admissions criterion. Scoring high in CUET is now the single most important factor for getting into DU.

Which sections should I choose in CUET UG?

It depends on your target university and programme. Most DU programmes require Section IA (English), specific domain subjects in Section II, and Section III (General Test) for B.Com/BMS/BBA. Always check which sections each target university requires before registering.

How is CUET different from board exams?

CUET is a speed and accuracy test, not a knowledge test. Questions are NCERT-based but the pace required (40–60 questions in 45–60 minutes) means students who haven't practised in timed conditions consistently underperform. Full-length mocks are the most effective preparation tool.
